Chevrolet decided that 1996 would mark the last
year of production for the C4 body style. As we know, when the
C3 Generation was over, GM offered a sporty 1982 Collector Edition,
with a L-83 Cross Fire Injection Motor, to mark the end of the
C3's existence. Well, GM replayed history by offering a 96 Collector
Edition, before the C5 was introduced. Will there be a 2003
50th Anniversary Collector Edition before the new C6?
To commemorate the C4, Chevy offered a 'Collector
Edition' option that featured
Sebring Silver paint, matching painted 5-spoke wheels, special
'Collector Edition'
exterior emblems and an interior package unique to the CE. Only
three interior colors were offered. They include black, red
and gray. All three interior colors have contrasting embroidery
in the seats.
