The C1. Possibly
the greatest Corvette model ever produced. Even today, collectors,
and non-collectors are searching for these cars in mint condition.
This might be because it was America's First Sports Car. Or
maybe because the first ones were hand built? The C1 began
life with a 6 cylinder engine. It was not until 1955 that
the Corvette received a V8. A lot of people believe that putting
a V8 in the Corvette, was the only thing that kept the Corvette
in production. A lot of people believe that the C1's couldn't
go very fast, but Zora proved everyone wrong when he had a
1955 zooming around Daytona Beach Speedway in 1956 at speeds
of excess of 150 mph.
